According to a report by PhoneArena, the upcoming handset might launch in September. The report also suggests that some key specifications of the smartphone have been leaked online.

As per the report, the Xiaomi 12T (named Plato) is expected to sport an OLED display that will support 1,220 x 2,712 resolution and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The smartphone is likely to come powered by an overclocked version of the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor named Ultra.

The report suggests that the upgraded chipset is rumoured to improve performance but will have the same 5nm manufacturing node present in the vanilla 8100. The base model of the smartphone is likely to pack 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal memory.

The report also mentions that both smartphones are expected to house a triple-rear camera setup that will include -- a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM6 primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro shooter. For selfies and video calls, the upcoming handset might sport a 20MP Sony IMX596 front snapper.
