According to a report by SamMobile, the South Korea-based tech giant is expected to launch the affordable Galaxy A23 5G device soon after the release of Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4. The report couldn't confirm the official launch date of the budget-friendly 5G phone but has revealed some of the key specifications of the upcoming handset.

Samsung Galaxy A23 5G expected availability

As per the report, the Samsung Galaxy A23 5G smartphone is expected to arrive in at least four different colours -- Black, Blue, Pink Gold, and White. The device has already been listed with Bluetooth SIG, the FCC and other regulatory agencies. Galaxy A23 5G is expected to be released initially in Europe for ?300 (roughly around Rs 24,300) and the company might eventually launch the handset in other markets including the US.

The upcoming smartphone is expected to sport a 6.6-inch FHD+ display that will house the selfie camera in an Infinity-V notch. Samsung Galaxy A23 5G will be powered by the Snapdragon 695 processor backed with up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB of built-in storage (expandable up to 1TB using microSD).

Galaxy A23 is likely to feature a quad-rear camera setup that will include -- a 50MP primary camera with OIS support, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro shooter. The smartphone will also house an 8MP front snapper for selfies and video calls.

Moreover, the handset will also support 25W fast charging, a feature usually available on more expensive Samsung devices and will boot One UI 4.1 based on Android 12. For connectivity, Bluetooth 5.1 and 5G among others and the device is expected to weigh below 200 grams.
