Xiaomi 12 Lite arrives with 108MP camera, 120Hz OLED display
After a couple of major leaks and a short teaser campaign the Xiaomi 12 Lite is finally official. The phone brings a 120Hz OLED screen, a 108MP main camera and a really aggressive price tag.
The 12 Lite is a successor of the 11 Lite 5G NE and inherited the 6.55" AMOLED display with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support. The told can be told apart by looking at the punch hole, as the new device has it in the center. The new panel adds support for 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate.
The Snapdragon 778G chipset, built on the 6nm process, is unchanged and is again coupled with either 6GB or 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.
Around the back the Xiaomi 12 Lite has a 108MP main shooter with a Samsung HM2 sensor and f/1.9 aperture. Alongside it are an 8MP f/2.4 ultrawide camera and a 2 MP macro snapper.
The selfie camera comes with a 32MP Samsung GD2 sensor and f/2.5 aperture lens. It is equipped with AF and plenty of software features, including Selfie portrait mode and Xiaomi Selfie Glow.
Xiaomi 12 Lite brings a 4,300 mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging, and the adapter is in the box, just like any other internationally available Xiaomi 12 smartphone. The smartphone has dual SIM support with dual 5G standby, but availability between markets may vary. The user interface is MIUI 13, based on Android 12.
The Xiaomi 12 Lite is offered in three color options - Black, Pink, and Green and in three memory tiers. The 6/128 GB version costs USD400, upgrading to 8/128GB will set you back USD450, while the top 8/256GB variant is USD500. Pre-orders start today via Xiaomi authorized online channels.
