Oppo Pad Air is launching in India later this week, Oppo Enco X2 to follow next week
Oppo is launching its first tablet in India as well as a new pair of high-end TWS buds. Well, "new" for the market - the tablet was announced in May, the headset back in February. Both will become available in India over the next few days.
The Oppo Pad Air will be available from July 23 (Saturday) starting at INR 17,000 for the base 4/64GB model. There is one with more storage, 128GB, which will sell for INR 20,000.
This 10.4" tablet has a 10-bit IPS LCD with 2,000 x 1,200px resolution. It is powered by the Snapdragon 680 and there is a microSD card slot, so you can expand the storage later on. The Pad Air packs four speakers (with Dolby Atmos), a 7,100mAh battery with 18W charging, an 8MP camera on the back and 5MP on the front. The whole thing weighs 440g and measures just 6.9mm thick. There is no version with cellular connectivity.
The Oppo Enco X2 buds will be available from the 25th (Monday next week) at a price of INR 11,000. For comparison, their predecessors, the Enco X, currently sell for INR 10,000 in India and are available for USD200/Euro200 elsewhere.
The Enco X2 have a refined dual-driver design - one quad-magnet planar tweeter and one 11mm dynamic driver - and have a frequency response of 20-40,000Hz. They have improved Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) too, capable of squashing 45dB of noise. High quality audio is delivered over Bluetooth 5.2 - up to 900Kbps with the LHDC 4.0 codec.
The battery life is 9.5 hours with ANC disabled and 5.5 hours with it enabled. Total listening time with the charging case is 40 hours or 22 hours, depending on the ANC status. You can read more about the Enco X2 in our review.
