This is a minor beta boost, but it gives the impression that things are getting closer to a stable release later this year. It does, however, have a couple surprises up its sleeve. Improvements to Gboard's famous Emoji Kitchen are among them. More emoji will be able to become kitchen-ified with the forthcoming Android 13 Beta version.

The Emoji Kitchen has been around for a while, however it doesn't presently support every emoji. However, this is gradually changing. Gboard's Emoji Kitchen in Android 13 Beta 2 now supports four new emoji: paw prints, cherries, watermelon, and rock, according to Emojipedia. You can now experiment with these four new emoji and create new combinations.

It's hardly a big deal — especially considering that over 400 emoji are supported in some way — and they aren't even new Unicode 14 emoji. Having more options for making new emoji pairings, whether for charming or cursed purposes, is always beneficial.

It's unknown whether these new emoji combinations will appear on previous Android versions, but given that they're based on older emojis that everyone has, it wouldn't be unreasonable to expect them to appear on your smartphone. As is typical of Google releases, the distribution will take a few weeks. A poster on the original Twitter thread indicated that they had only gotten the paw print combos to work so far, but nothing about the others. When checking, make sure your Gboard app is up to date.
