As the name suggests the quick reply feature will allow you to reply to a message without going to your inbox and moving out of the feed you are viewing. Before this feature, a user had to go in the inbox and leave your feed or post you were viewing in order to reply to a message. The feature is quite similar to the quick reply feature on WhatsApp. If you want to know how to send a quick reply on Instagram, you can follow these steps.

When you receive a message while scrolling through the Instagram app, you will be able to see at the top of your screen.

Tap on the message and swipe down.
3.
You will be able to see a message box and keyboard on your screen. Type in the reply that you wish to send.

Click on the Send option in the message box.
