Gpay India: How to permanently delete the Google Pay account.

Google Pay is one of the most widely used UPI-based payment apps in India. The app allows users to send and receive money directly via their linked bank account using the phone number of UPI address.

In addition to that, the app also provides users with the option to check balance, make commodity bill payments, recharge their phone number, pay postpaid and broadband bills and more.

However, if you do not want to use the service and looking for a way to permanently delete the Google Pay account, follow our step-by-step guide:

Open the Google Pay app on your smartphone

Tap on the profile photo at the top right corner

3.

Now, tap on the Bank account option and then tap on the account

4.

Tap on three dots at the top right corner and choose Remove account option

5.

Repeat the same for other accounts that are linked with the Google Pay

6.

Once done, head back and tap on Settings ? Sign out

After tapping on the Sign out button, Google Pay will show you a popup message “Sign out of your account? You’ll have to re-activate your UPI accounts when you relaunch the app.

Do note that earlier, Google Pay used to offer a dedicated Close account option. However, with recent updates, it appears that the tech giant has removed it.
