Open WhatsApp app on your Android smartphone.

Long press on any one chat that you want to hide or archive.

Tap and select the other chats that you want to hide or archive.

Tap on the archive button next to the mute icon at the top bar.

Once you hide your chats, they will be moved to the Archived folder. It is worth noting that archived chats will stay in that folder with notifications turned off to reduce interruptions. You can change this feature by heading into Settings.
