OnePlus 10 Pro launches globally, after launching 3 months in China
The OnePlus 10 Pro was launched in the early days of 2022 in China, and today, almost three months later, the phone is finally making its global debut.
The device is pretty much the same handset as its Chinese counterpart with one major change for the North American market where it gets downgraded to 65W fast charging, as the global 80W charger is incompatible with 110V networks.
In our review of the OnePlus 10 Pro, we established the difference between the two standards is pretty much non-existent, so it isn't such a big deal.
The rest of the OnePlus 10 Pro hardware remains unchanged - the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, coupled with two memory options - 8/128 GB and 12/256 GB.
The screen is a 6.7" AMOLED with 1440p resolution, matching the OnePlus 9 Pro, but it's upgraded to LTPO2 this time around. It provides an actual adaptive refresh rate and varies from 1Hz to 120Hz. OnePlus also calibrated the panel at 500 nits and 1000 nits for more accurate colors across multiple levels of brightness.
OnePlus 10 Pro comes with a 48MP Sony IMX789 sensor for the main camera - the same imager as its predecessor. The 8MP telephoto camera is also carried over, while the 50MP ultrawide shooter with a Samsung JN1 sensor is a major upgrade.
OnePlus partnered with the Swedish camera company Hasselblad to help with the camera tuning.
The selfie camera is new as well - a 32MP sensor, with ample for the class 1/2.74" size and with an f/2.2 lens in front.
The global OnePlus 10 Pro is running OxygenOS 12.1, based on Android 12.
The battery is 5,000 mAh. Americans are getting the 65W charger in the box, while users in Europe and India will be getting the 80W power brick. There is also support for 50W AirVOOC wireless charging, and the company claims the phone can get from 0 to 100% in 47 minutes.
OnePlus 10 Pro in Green and Black
The OnePlus 10 Pro price will start from USD899 in the United States and Euro899 in Europe for the base 8/128GB version. Pricing in India starts at INR 69,999. Pre-orders are already open, with actual sales scheduled for April 5 in India and April 8 in other regions.
