foldable apple iphone: Here's how the rumoured foldable Apple iPhone may look like

Rumours about Apple working on its own foldable phone have been around for a while, with a few tipsters even claiming that the tech giant already has got a working prototype which has similar design elements as those in Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip and Z Fold devices. Now, a YouTuber ardstudiodesign has shown the concept renders of the alleged foldable iPhone in a video.

The foldable iPhone concept render shown in the video has a triple camera setup on the left and a secondary display on the right. The secondary screen is meant to show notifications, incoming calls etc. The YouTuber has also claimed that the foldable device will be portless and waterproof. As for the chipset, it is being claimed to be the M1 chip. A portless iPhone, however, looks a little believable as Apple has been working to get MagSafe charging on board for more of its devices and could also have plans to remove the physical SIM card slot entirely.

Take a look at the video yourself.

Tech giant Apple had filed a patent showcasing a hinge design for a smartphone back in 2020. The patent application was titled "Electronic devices having folding expandable displays". And it described a foldable device with the display folded at an angle of 90-degrees. There are multiple links as part of the hinge, which means that there are going to be a number of articulation joints if Apple proceeds with the design in the future. Nothing is for certain now but as per rumours, we might see Apple launching a foldable iPhone by the end of 2022 or in 2023.
