Samsung Galaxy A42 5G gets Android 12 update: Report 


Samsung is reportedly rolling out Android 12 based OneUI 4 to Galaxy A42 5G. According to a report by Sammobile, the operating system update is available for users in Europe and is expected to expand in other countries soon.The smartphone, according to the report, is getting firmware version A426BXXU3CUL9. 

The OS also brings the December 2021 Android security patch to the device. Features of Android 12 based OneUI 4.0 include features such as Material You (Color Palette), Privacy Dashboard, and quick setting toggles for camera. It also comes with privacy indicators, approximate location option, and better accessibility features.On the design front, One UI 4 brings new widget styling, a new widget picker UI, improved Always on Display (AoD) and Dark Mode. It also improves Bixby and Bixby Routines along with improved stock apps.Samsung Galaxy A42 5G was launched in 2020. 

The smartphone has a 6.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity U display. It comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G octa-core processor coupled with 4GB/6GB/8GB of RAM. The handset offers 128GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 1TB by adding a microSD card. It comes with dual SIM functionality and sports a quad-rear camera setup. It consists of a 48MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 5MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture and a 5MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. 

At the front, Galaxy A42 5G features a 20MP selfie shooter with f/2.2 aperture. The device is backed by a 5000mAh battery with 15W adaptive fast charging support.
