OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 9 starts receiving January 2022 update in global markets, bringing new features, bug fixes and more
OnePlus has started rolling out a new update for its OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro smartphones. The update is rolling out for the device outside the China region and it brings several new updates, features and bug fixes to the smartphones.
The software version carries a label C.44 and includes a January 2022 security patch as well.
According to the official blog post on the OnePlus Community page, the update will be available for OP9 --IN LE2111_11_C.44, NA LE2115_11_C.44, EU LE2113_11_C.44 and OnePlus 9 Pro IN LE2121_11_C.44, NA LE2125_11_C.44 and EU LE2123_11_C.44 versions of the phones.
In terms of new additions, the C.44 update includes desktop icon optimisation with improved textures and brings new materials, lights and layers to them. The update also improves the system power consumption to offer better battery life on both devices.
Apart from a few changes mentioned above, the update also brings improvements to the fingerprint scanner, address stutter and lag issues with the user interface, improvements to the Dark mode, camera app optimisation and address network issues with 5G connectivity.
Gallery app has also received some updates such as the ability to switch layouts using a two-finger pinch gesture, intelligent recognition for the best-quality pictures and more.
Just like every update, this update is also rolling out in a phased manner and will take a while to reach all the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro users which is likely to happen in a couple of weeks.
