As per a Tweet by a known tipster, the company will add another smartphone in the Pixel 6 series in May this year. Rumours about the mid-range Google Pixel smartphone have been in circulation for a while now. Google hosts its annual I/O developer conference in May every year. After the Tweet from Max, it is expected that the company will launch the Google Pixel 6a at the annual event.

Although the company has not officially revealed any details about the smartphone, several leaks and rumours hint how the device may look like. According to a report by XDADevelopers, the Google Pixel 6a is rumoured to look similar to its sibling in the lineup.

Google Pixel 6a is said to feature a 6.2-inch OLED display with a centered hole-punch cutout. It is also rumoured to have an under-display fingerprint reader. Under the hood, the device is said to be powered by the same Google Tensor GS101 chip as the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones.

Previous leaks that the Google Pixel 6a will feature a 12.1MP Sony IMX363 sensor for the primary camera. For those who don't know, Sony IMX363 sensor is the same primary sensor that the company installed in all Pixel devices from the Pixel 3 to Pixel 5a. The primary camera is rumoured to be supported by a 12MP ultra-wide camera. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone is said to sport an 8MP camera at the front.

As of now, there is no information about the Indian availability of Google Pixel 6a as other smartphones in the Pixel 6 lineup are only limited to a few markets and that doesn't includes India.
