- OnePlus is working on a tablet.
- Tablet will be called the OnePlus Pad.
- The OnePlus Pad was officially trademarked by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
OnePlus will release a tablet in the near future. On EUIPO, the company's trademark filing for "OnePlus Pad" was discovered (European Union Intellectual Property Office).
The company has registered a trademark for what is believed to be the corporation's foray into the tablet industry, according to Mysmartprice and confirmed by Business Insider India. Mukul Sharma, a well-known leaker, also released the information on his Twitter account.
It's hardly surprising that OnePlus is aiming to release a tablet, given Realme and Vivo have been making similar efforts. While Realme has announced its tablet entry, Vivo has registered a trademark for the ‘Vivo pad' with the EUIPO. We expect the tablet to run an optimised version of the company's OxygenOS, or ColorOS, which is now collaborating with Oppo.
The tablet might be marketed as the OnePlus Pad, according to the EUIPO trademark. However, it's too early to speculate on what the OnePlus tablet will include or how it will appear, as these are only rumours, and the listing doesn't give any information about the products or a release date.
OnePlus is more than just a smartphone company; it also sells TVs, headphones, and wearables, and if the tablet rumour is real, it will fight in the luxury category against Apple's iPad and Samsung's Galaxy tablets.
