Google CEO Sundar Pichai:Open internet is under attack

0

Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google, believes that the free and open Internet idea is under threat in many nations around the world. He told the BBC that the flow of information is being controlled and that it is being seen as the standard rather than an aberration.

Pichai has been reported many times as saying that a free and open internet is essential. Pichai just says that none of their key products or services are available in China, despite the interview drawing parallels to China's more totalitarian internet rule.

Handbags Deal

The rest of the Google employees interviewed by the BBC regard Pichai as a thoughtful leader who is sincerely devoted to leading by example. He was dubbed an idealist, especially when it came to how revolutionary technology may be in terms of raising living standards.

Pichai also stated that steering the future of the internet should not be the duty of a single person, but rather a collaborative think tank that charts the road forward while taking into mind the open internet's core pillars.

In the absence of compelling legislation from around the world, it is evident that giant technology corporations must lead the way forward; the only difficulty is that they do not all seem to agree on what should be the appropriate path to pursue.
