WhatsApp is also introducing new messaging features to make it easier for people and businesses to communicate. WhatsApp's latest initiatives are likely to aid in attracting new enterprises and bringing them closer to their potential clients.
The speedier experience for businesses to start using the WhatsApp Business API was one of the major changes highlighted by WhatsApp at F8 Refresh. “These upgrades will make it easier for more medium and larger businesses to have customer conversations on WhatsApp, whether they want to work with a business solution provider or get help directly from Facebook in the future,” WhatsApp said in a statement.
In addition to faster onboarding, WhatsApp is changing how businesses use the API to connect with their consumers. It said it is adding support for more sorts of messages because businesses were previously limited to sending timely notifications. These will, for example, notify customers when an item is back in stock or provide further information on a product that has been posted.
Additionally, WhatsApp is rolling out a way to let businesses show a menu of up to 10 message options from where customers can pick one — without requiring them to type out their response. There will also be reply buttons with up to three options that the customers will be able select just with a quick tap.
