Koo, an Indian microblogging and social media business, plans to grow its presence in Nigeria. Aprameya Radhakrishna, the company's co-founder, hinted to the change on Twitter.
After Twitter was suspended due to a rule violation, the Indian corporation became interested in the African country. President Muhammadu Buhari's tweeps were removed from the US-based microblogging platform.

Aprameya Radhakrishna, a co-founder of Koo, said in a tweet, "In Nigeria, @kooindia is available. We're considering enabling local languages as well. So, what do you think?"

Aprameya Radhakrishna, the founder of Koo, also received a number of reactions to the tweet, with some suggesting additional features that may help the site gain traction and fill the hole left by Twitter.

Koo was launched in India last year and has raised $30 million in capital from Tiger Global and other investors. Aprameya Radhakrishna, Koo's co-founder and CEO, asserts that the company has "ambitious intentions to grow into one of the world's greatest social media platforms" and that it has "huge domestic backing" to achieve this goal.
