How to get offline driving directions by downloading maps from Google Maps

0
Simply use Google Maps as usual to view your offline map. The street names and prominent landmarks should appear when you navigate to the place you downloaded.
But, before you put your faith in a downloaded map, keep in mind that it has some limits.

The map will most likely remain hazy. You won't be able to get traffic updates, alternative routes, or lane assistance. You won't be notified if the routes alter for any reason, such as if a road is closed due to construction.

It's a good idea to double-check that you have enough storage space on your phone to accommodate the new download (you'll be told how much before you attempt the download).
