Chinese 'Artificial Sun' Experimental Fusion Reactor Sets New World Record

China is the country behind a series of experiments that have shocked the scientific world as a whole.
China's “artificial sun” set a new record after it ran at 120 million degrees Celsius for 101 seconds, according to the state media. The Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak (EAST) device designed by China replicates the nuclear fusion process carried out by the sun.
China spends a lot of money on artificial missions and stars, as well as missions to Mars and the moon. Chinese researchers are now experimenting with artificial sun. Experiments with artificial suns, which are ten times hotter than the actual sun, are underway. Days ago, China also set a record for the use of artificial sun.

The new record is that the artificial sun was able to generate eight times more heat than the real sun. Researchers hope that this will increase tenfold. The new advantage is that it can generate 120 million degrees Celsius heat in a reactor for 110 seconds. Remember that the actual temperature of the sun is only 15 million degrees Celsius.
China's new 'artificial sun' is fast becoming the target of more energy production through green fuels. China's own sun, which uses nuclear fusion, is capable of emitting up to ten times more heat than the actual sun. Named HL2M Tokamak, it can emit heat up to 150 million degrees Celsius from the Chinese sun. Tests of this may also take place soon.
The information about this artificial sun has been released by the Chinese National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC). This Chinese sun also has a similar function to how the sun heats up with hydrogen and deuterium. But the actual temperature of the sun is only 15 million degrees Celsius.
China is not the only country to have such artificial suns. Many countries are pursuing similar projects aimed at producing green energy using controlled amounts of nuclear fusion. The laboratory is part of the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) project in the south of France. Here, too, temperatures can reach as high as 150 million degrees Celsius. Last year, the Korean Institute of Fusion Energy also made a remarkable announcement. That is, their nuclear fusion reactor operated at 100 degree C for 20 seconds.

China is also cooperating with the US, India, Japan, Russia and South Korea in the ITER. Earlier, Chinese scientists had predicted that China's HL-2M would further strengthen ITER.
China plans to begin construction of the first test reactor to generate energy using nuclear fusion technology. China expects the first industrial version to be launched in 2035 and large-scale power generation in 2050. China sees nuclear fusion as one of the key areas of future focus, including artificial intelligence, space science, and deep-sea exploration.

The Chinese government first approved the construction of the artificial sun in 1998. But in that project, the size of the artificial sun and the amount of heat were small. It was only able to run for 60 seconds then. But the current artificial sun is 11 meters high. The artificial sun, which weighs 360 tons, heats up to 120 million degrees Celsius. The researchers now claim that the heat can be maintained for at least 100,000 seconds.
