Apple's FaceTime is coming to Android and Windows

FaceTime, Apple's video calling system, is now available for Android and Windows users. This is seen as one of the most notable announcements at the company's Worldwide Developers Conference this year. It is said to compete with video calling apps such as Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams. Observers are curious to see an app coming out of Apple's fenced garden.

FaceTime, a video / audio calling system, was introduced in 2010 with the iPhone 4 model. This meant that Apple users could call each other via Wi-Fi or a cellular network. It was a huge hit in the US and elsewhere with a large number of iPhone users.

FaceTime seems to be coming out of Apple's fence, but it's not right. Technically Android and Windows users can use this service but the company has included a number of limitations. There is no special app for Android and Windows users. They have to go through the browsers to attend the facetime call.

Other terms included are also disappointing in places like India. For example, the position that you must own any Apple device. The requirement for an Apple account is relatively easy to understand. If this is not the case then maybe your facelift call is via a video calling link provided by an Apple user. In short, only users of Apple devices can still use the full benefits of FaceTime.
