On the Android TV platform, the Apple TV app is now available. Although the Apple subscription-based service was first only available on Apple devices, it is now available on all platforms. It has now been ported to other systems such as Amazon's Fire OS and LG's webOS. More Smart TV users will be able to access the service now that it is available on Android TV.

How to get Apple TV on Android-based Smart TVs

The Apple TV app for Android TV can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and is compatible with Android TV devices running Android TV 8 or later. Content with a resolution of up to Ultra-HD is available, as well as HDR up to Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.

More Indian consumers will be able to access Apple's entertainment service environment without relying on the brand's hardware ecosystem now that Apple TV is available. The move also emphasises Apple's commitment to subscription-based services, such as Apple Music.

Users will also be able to purchase an Apple TV+ membership, which will give them access to critically regarded Apple programming like Ted Lasso and The Morning Show. On Android TV, Apple TV will face off against a slew of OTT apps. Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ (Disney+Hotstar in India), and others are among them.
